Although this is a new site, I am no newcomer to baseball. I have played over 26 seasons of baseball. Most recently, at the age of 43-45, for three seasons I played in a men's 35 and over league. My coaching experience includes youth league and last year as head coach for Cornerstone Christian Academy.
As a head and assistant coach, I realized that I had far too little time for personalized one-on-one instruction during regular practice. And since the majority of little leaguers are on teams with volunteer coaches who have limited baseball playing experience, I decided to offer my services to local players, usually between ages 5-13.
My goal with this blog is to promote baseball basics for youth players, provide volunteer coaches with some useful information, drills and strategies, to encourage players and their parents to seek individual instruction in order to get their players proficient in the game as quickly as possible, and finally, to promote, locally, my personalized instruction services, and provide value-added information to players I instruct. Eventually, I hope to offer exclusive coupons and baseball products, and other surprises.
